I'm currently watching Naruto Shippuden.

2025

  1. Naruto Shippuden (2007)This is a direct continuation of Naruto that has better fights and is significantly more interesting. Unfortunately the episodes are still paced very slowly.
  2. Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (2018)6.7/10. I watched halfway through the first season before stopping. I didn't realize it was going to be a harem, and the plot didn't really end up making a lot of sense.
  3. Assassination Classroom (2015)5.9/10. It feels like the mangaka ran out of ideas after the first volume and scrambled to make up the rest and suddenly develop random characters in unexpected ways. The show jumps around from funny to serious to silly. I guess it's still a charming watch though.
  4. Naruto (2002)7.3/10. The characters are surprisingly well balanced and you can really feel the development of each character as they mature and become stronger. There's only a handful of shows that do this well and Naruto is one of them. Watching as an adult, the pacing is painfully slow (even without the filler) but I can see how much fun it would be to watch as a kid.

I also love when the Third Hokage is stuck in Orochimaru's sword for a good 10 episodes.
  5. Cowboy Bebop (1998)7.3/10. Dub. For lack of better words, this show is weirdly... deep. Each episode makes you feel a little depressed and super nostalgic. In addition, the soundtrack is as fantastic as I've been told. I'd recommend this show for the vibes alone.
  6. Pokémon Generations (2016)5.0/10. Dub. It's a continuation of Pokémon Origins for newer generations.
  7. Pokémon Origins (2013)5.5/10. Dub. It's a bit nostalgic to watch if you played the original Pokémon. The show is an adaptation of the original games.
